A few months back, I published a post called It's not you, it's me: 7 eye-openers that inspired me to become a health coach, and here's my note on social media as # 3:
You can use social media as an educational tool for improved wellness, recipe ideas, success stories, influencer tips, new research and reminder of good habits, rather than doom scrolling and celebrity updates.
This changed how I viewed my social feeds, and it's one of two reasons why Align+Clear isn't on social media today (aside from LinkedIn, which we'd argue serves a different purpose than other channels). Anyhow, as you can imagine, there are tons of wellness influencers (see below!) who are focused on the same principles that we are. Many of them were instrumental in my own health transformation, so promoting their content is not only a small token of appreciation, but a way to pay it forward to others.
Secondly, our work at Align+Clear is focused on individual and group health coaching. We love spending time with our clients, and the investment in helping clients achieve their wellness goals takes priority over promoting our business on social media.
With all of that in mind, here's a list of our favorites to follow. The beauty of social media is that it's all FREE, so: Follow, Read, Experiment and Experience at your own pace and on your terms.
